I thought I would share another house picture and a few organization ones too. I often get questions about organizing school spaces. For a long time I used a cheap CHEAP $30 Walmart book case. Yes, I went there. It was horrible. Small town, no other choices. About three years ago, I got a wonderful big IKEA PAX wardrobe that has been a HUGE help. Nice doors on the front to keep the little people out and to hide the clutter that can happen when certain male children just shove things in there. Not naming anyone in specific, I have three male children, you will have to guess who it could be. the PAX wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny I saved for it. The biggest drawback is when Erik has to move it. We have this very thoughtful placement conversation each time we move because it is a bugger. It is heavy and giant BUT in pure IKEA fashion, it comes apart and back together in a snap.
I have included some other pictures of our new space too. I love these big windows across the south-east side of our home. The ledges are perfect for crayons and chalk. I use garlic or artichoke jars for a lot of our storage, they are free and emptying them is yummy. Don’t get discouraged by what we have, it has taken me years to get here and remember that I have five children! I have been at this a while and I have a while to go.
