When you are prepared for each phase you are more capable of handling challenging behavior.

- Have an exit strategy.
- Inform your partner and family that you are around often.
- Share ways they can help the child and help you.
- Make sure you are getting rest and a break.
- If you are not taking care of yourself, you'll have a hard time taking care of the child.
This is a three year cycle.
Book mentioned is "You're Not the Boss of Me".
